The School of Humanities & Social Sciences includes four undergraduate and one graduate degree programs. The Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Society, and Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, Society & Culture are both interdisciplinary, rigorously structured programs that incorporate a range of subjects from politics, psychology, sociology, art, literature and media studies.
Students may also be interested in pursuing one of our specialised degrees, for example a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts. While being immersed in Prague’s vast array of ancient and modern art and architecture, students of Visual Arts will move from theoretical analysis to putting brush to canvas. Another of our select programs is a Bachelor of Arts in Jewish Studies, which aims to expose students to the complexities of the subject while using Prague and its rich Jewish history to reinforce their understanding.
The School of Humanities & Social Sciences also offers a Master of Arts degree in Humanities, applying a range of research and study methodologies from social theory and sciences, arts, literature and philosophy. After graduation, students holding either program title tend to work in media, cultural organizations, politics and education.
The School of Humanities & Social Sciences is divided into 5 departments.
