AAU is one of few universities globally—and the first institution in Europe— to have received the prestigious accreditation from the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), an American accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
This accreditation validates the high-quality of education at AAU and opens doors for our students to a vast global market thanks to the international recognition of a US degree.

National Accreditation (MŠMT)
All undergraduate and graduate degree programs at Anglo-American University are accredited by the local accrediting body the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (with exception of the Law and MBA programs).
This accreditation gives degrees obtained at AAU wide recognition throughout Europe due to the Czech Republics’ membership in the European Union.
In accordance with the recent amendment to the Czech Higher Education Act, as of August 31, 2018, all program accreditations granted by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic have been extended till December 31, 2024.
Chapman MBA Program Accreditations
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at AAU is awarded by Chapman University in California, United States. Chapman University boasts accreditation by both WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) and AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), two top professional accreditations for MBA programs.
This degree is therefore recognized in the United States and gives our students the choice to partake in commencement ceremonies in Prague with their AAU classmates or on-site at Chapman University.

University of London Law Degree Accreditations
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the Brexit transition period, AAU is awaiting approval from the Czech Ministry of Education for permission to continue operating the University of London programmes in the Czech Republic under the new post-Brexit framework. The application processing takes approximately three to five months. Until then, all law students will be registered and study as Life-Long Learning students. Upon receiving permission from the Ministry, AAU will automatically change all law students back to the Standard status and they will continue as usual. AAU’s John H. Carey II School of Law has been granted Registered Teaching Centre status within the University of London’s Teaching Institution Recognition Framework, in recognition of the integrity and quality of instruction at AAU.
This relationship allows AAU law students to obtain Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE), Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Master of Laws (LLM) degrees from the University of London.

Global Degree Program Accreditation
The Global Degree Program is a partnership between Anglo-American University in Prague, Czech Republic, and Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, in the United States. This provides you the opportunity to study at AAU in Prague as well as at one of the top public universities in the U.S.
Kent State University is an affiliate of the National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association.
