Testimonials
Many of our alumni have gone on to noteworthy accomplishments and positions of international influence, near to home and far afield, armed with the knowledge and skills they acquired here. Who better then to speak to the value of an AAU education and the impact this university can have upon people’s lives. Read on to learn what our graduates have to say, both about us and their time in Prague.
I liked what AAU had to offer as well as the fact that it is different and very beautiful. My heart was set on it from the moment I saw it…I was very surprised by how much my mind had changed after just one semester [and] the practical courses have given me confidence in my capabilities as a businesswoman and in general as an individual.
Genevieve Flores, USA, BA in Business Administration: Entrepreneurship, 2024
“When I think of AAU, the first thing that comes to my mind is the word ‘community’. Many universities offer quality programs and high academic rigor, but few of them can also boast about having such a tight-knit community on and off campus. Undoubtedly, AAU pushed me forward both personally and professionally. The invaluable advice I’ve received from my professors guides me in my private life and professional development.”
Lora D. Lukova, Bulgaria, BA in Journalism & Communications, 2024
I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to Anglo-American University. This institution has been instrumental in my growth—professionally, academically, and personally. I am deeply thankful for the steps I’ve taken along this journey and for the profound impact AAU has had on my values and development. Since becoming a student at AAU, it has been an incredible experience, and I am truly honored to carry these cherished memories with me as I move forward into my future endeavors.
Josef Duchan, Czechia, BA in International Relations & Affairs, 2024
Prague is the kind of place where all your dreams feel closer, and everything seems possible. Meeting so many inspiring career professionals motivated me to also work hard on my career goals, and enlightened the way to it, as they were open to share their tips and their journey. Prague has endless options in everything, so on top of that, I really enjoyed being able to try whatever I thought of. I picked-up on many activities, which became my hobbies.
Dorota Čičatková, Slovakia, BA in Visual Art Studies, 2024
Since the majority of my teachers are female, this in itself is an inspiration! Seeing these powerful, intelligent women pave the road of knowledge towards a male-dominated field, is the best motivator a young woman can ask for! They’re role models, who are not only teaching me and the others the legal side of life, but the reality behind it as well.
Blerta Ismajli, Kosovo, Bachelor of Laws, 2024
Prague is one of the most student-friendly cities in Europe, for numerous reasons. The community of both local and Erasmus students is active and welcoming. Accommodation, transportation, and living costs are low, and many students discounts are available if you keep an eye out! If you came to study in Prague, you’ll meet amazing people and have the time of your life!
Ana “BB” Eleanora Petričić-Tinto, USA, BA in Humanities and Social Sciences: Humanities, Society, & Culture
“AAU served a pivotal role in my development from undergraduate student to finance professional. Robust academic offerings and a spectrum of extracurricular engagement opportunities allowed me to unlock my full potential, secure an offer at an Ivy League MBA program, and transition into a career as an investment banker at a prestigious firm in Chicago. Few undergraduate experiences provide the unmatched exposure to diversity of perspectives and people that I encountered during my three years in Prague, and I am grateful for the international network of peers, mentors, and colleagues that I forged at AAU.”
Jean Kallenburg, USA, BA in Business Administration, 2023
The beauty of AAA [is] you have the privilege of getting to experiment with all of the opportunities that a diverse community can give you. The size of AAU makes it easy to try new things. Every student is there for the same reason: to explore the rest of the world and what it has to offer.
Camille Smith, USA, School of Business Administration, 2023
AAU has a great International Relations program and it’s one of the safest and most beautiful places in the world.
Kenneth Ali Shaheed, USA, M.A. in International Relations & Diplomacy, 2022
I like AAU because it’s very diverse and you can take as many classes as you want, including ones not connected to your degree. That way you can grow as a person. I enjoy basically every hour I spend here and I feel like I’m getting value for every class and I feel very connected to the people around me.
Anastasia Mezenina, Russia, BA in Business Administration, 2022
AAU gave me the opportunity to attend the Singularity University Conference here in Prague and at that conference it was incredible. I met so many people, who opened up so many doors for me now, and I saw so many new things. That is really all thanks to AAU.
Hanna Ripper, USA, Bachelor of Laws, 2020
“I wholeheartedly recommend AAU to prospective students. Sometimes, I even wish I could return to pursue another Master’s degree there. AAU provided me with precisely what I needed at the very beginning of my career and academic journey: a solid knowledge base that I have been building on ever since, and enough flexibility allowing me to specialize early on in both my career and studies, which most certainly kick-started my career. I’m a proud alumna!”
Vanda Prošková, Czechia, BA in International Relations, 2020
AAU has a long list of great opportunities including studying abroad, internships in local and foreign companies, working at the university, getting involved with student government, and becoming part of an international community to learn and experience university life with.
Anastasia Aleksashova, Russia, BA in Business Administration: Marketing and Communications, 2020
With the American WASC accreditation, the multitude of exchange options, and being in the heart of Europe, AAU was an easy choice for me. Despite its small size, AAU is a hot pot of language and culture that poses nothing but benefit when engaging in discussion in or out of the classroom.
Benjamin Pieter Rodenburg, Fiji, BA in International Relations, 2019
AAU has opened up the doors for me. I’m studying international relations, and it is a great place to be. I get to interact with diplomats, NGOs, and IGOs. A lot of our professors also have a lot of connections with these places, so it is really great for me that I get to see their career and then perhaps aspire to have the same career in the future.
Justyna Julia Hinz, Germany, BA in International Relations, 2019
AAU makes networking incredibly easy. I was able to participate in various events that don’t necessarily connect to my coursework—conferences, literary festivals, debates, lectures, etc. AAU has helped me and my club get in touch with event-organizers, which, for example, allowed us to host an event during the Festival of Democracy, organized by the famous Forum 2000 conference.
Veronika Bartáková, Czechia, BA in International Relations, 2019
I chose to study at AAU because I wanted to travel. Through the exchange programs that the school offers I got to see Australia and Indonesia and it was amazing.
Kristyna Frankova, Czechia, BA in Business Administration: Marketing and Communications, 2017
I chose AAU because I wanted to be part of something special. I wanted to study in English but not leave my own country. So, I applied here and I fell in love with this place.
Vladimír Palička, Czechia, B.A. in Business Administration, 2017
What I enjoy most about AAU is its diverse and engaging environment. The smaller class sizes allowed me to make meaningful connections with faculty members and students, and facilitated networking, which is extremely important in the business world, and has enabled me to seek out the right opportunities.
Kristian Pankulych, Ukraine, B.A. in Business Administration, 2017
I was choosing between all English speaking universities in Prague and AAU impressed me more because of its affordable tuition fees and Prague is just a safe and beautiful spot.
