AAU Develops COVID-19 Management Plan
Anglo-American University (AAU) adopted stringent measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on its campus. Based on the AAU COVID-19 Plan 2020/21, an internal document that exceeds legal restrictions imposed by the Czech government, faculty, staff, and students are provided with means to minimize risks of infection while the programs of study continue uninterrupted.
The Plan consists of instructions on virtual classes, hygienic measures on the campus, and important information about reporting duties, testing, contacts, and resources related to the pandemic.
Thanks to the rapid transition to online teaching, we managed the dramatic situation in the first months as well as in September, when the second wave of the pandemic appeared in the Czech Republic.
Štěpán Müller, AAU President, commented on this semester’s situation.
The multiculturalism and flexibility, which is typical for our students and teachers was very helpful and therefore, our teachers and students had no problem changing the way of teaching and studying from day to day. At the same time, I believe, that we will also manage the toughest period, which seems to be yet ahead, by also putting the health of ourselves and our loved ones first. Our community is supportive, responsible, and disciplined enough to overcome the crisis again.
