Where to Live and How Much to Pay

About Prague

An attractive destination for students to live in, Prague is teeming with cultural diversity and a plethora of activities to do. It’s central location in Europe has long been a crossroads of history. You will not only be fully immersed into local Czech culture, but also into a booming community of expats who call Prague their new home.

This lasting impression of Prague stays with you even after departure. Being one of the safest countries in the world, the Czech Republic offers an affordable cost of living, easy commuting around the city, and an open-minded environment with the Anglo-American University campus at its center.

Housing Options for Students

Although AAU does not directly provide housing, students can select from a variety of housing options including dormitories and apartments. AAU can recommend local rental agencies, private dormitories, flat sharing housing forums, and other options to help you find the right housing. The cost of rent varies throughout the city and also depends on how many flatmates you have and your preferred living standards. If you are not sure which option is the best for you, the staff in our Student Services Center will be happy to help you out.

You can check out the full range of recommended housing options in AAU Housing for Students here

In addition, students may be eligible for the Accommodation Scholarship granted by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in order to cover part of their housing expenses.

Please note that AAU bears no responsibility for the final choice of its students' housing.
