| Learning Outcomes | Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: – Demonstrate comprehension and clear understanding of important movements, periods and authors across the range of European literature from 1200-1800. – Demonstrate understanding and analysis of literature via close reading of texts, attuning themselves to nuances of meaning. – Demonstrate an ability to place in context the great works of literature from cultures other than their own, enriching their own perspectives. |
