Art & Exhibitions
You don’t have to be a Visual Arts student to get in touch with your creative and artistic side at AAU. A work of art in its own right, the Thurn–Taxis Palace sits in the heart of Prague and serves as a unique venue for exhibitions both indoors and out. Its baroque-style interiors, central courtyard, and the adjacent Vojan Gardens—the oldest public gardens in Prague, dating back to the 12th century—regularly host exhibitions of art, design, and photography by AAU students, alumni, and partners.

Collaborations
AAU collaborates with leading art schools and institutions in Prague, including the Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design (UMPRUM) and the Academy of Fine Arts (AVU). Many AAU faculty members are active in prominent art institutions and projects such as the National Gallery in Prague, Kunsthalle, the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, MeetFactory, and the Chalupecký Award. Classes are often held on-site at some of Europe’s most significant art collections and architectural landmarks, where classical traditions meet the digital age.
