AAU professor Alexei Anisin, Ph.D. was recently interviewed by The Irish Times about the risk of more devastating mass shootings in Europe. Alexei Anisin is known for his extensive research in this field, having recently published his 2021 book, ‘Mass Shootings in Central and Eastern Europe’, in which he wrote that “mass shootings in the region were an understudied phenomenon and warned of risk factors due to societal fragmentation following the collapse of communism and cultural influences from the US via the internet”.
