AAU Expands First-Year Honors Scholarship to Recognize AP Exam Achievement
Anglo-American University has expanded its First-Year Honors Scholarship to recognize strong Advanced Placement (AP) exam results, creating a new opportunity for high-achieving students to receive up to 50% tuition support during their first year at AAU.
Under the updated eligibility criteria, students with AP exam results can qualify for either 30% or 50% aid. Students who achieve AP scores of 5, 5, and 4 meet the academic performance requirement for 50% aid, while scores of 5, 4, and 4 meet the requirement for 30% aid.
The addition gives students completing AP coursework another way to demonstrate their academic achievement when applying for the First-Year Honors Scholarship, alongside existing criteria including GPA, Czech Maturita, A-levels, and the IB Diploma.
AP English results can also now be used to meet the scholarship’s English language proficiency criteria. A score of 5 in AP English Literature or AP English Language and Composition meets the English proficiency requirement for 50% aid, while a score of 4 meets the requirement for 30% aid. Students using an AP English exam for this requirement must use three other AP exams to meet the academic performance criteria.
The First-Year Honors Scholarship is designed to support outstanding undergraduate students entering their first year at AAU based on prior academic achievement and English language proficiency.
Students must first be admitted to AAU and recommended for the scholarship by the Dean’s Office following a successful interview. Transfer students are not eligible.
The First-Year Honors Scholarship can also be combined with other scholarships available through AAU’s financial aid and scholarship programs.
