Anglo-American University in Prague AAU Business Students Present Research at International Conference in Prague
AAU School of Business lecturer Dr. Emel Yarimoglu and undergraduate students Coen Bensley and Alisa Selianskaia participated in the 7th International Multidisciplinary Conference for Young Researchers (MCYR), held October 8–9, 2026, at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU).
The conference brought together young researchers from various disciplines, including society and culture, technology and innovation, and sustainability.
Representing Anglo-American University (AAU), the group presented research titled “How Young Consumers Perceive Luxury Fashion Brands and Their Strategies on Social Media.” The project originated in Dr. Yarimoglu’s Spring 2026 Marketing Research course, where students explored the topic through qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Bensley presented the research on the second day of the conference, followed by a question-and-answer session with attendees. Reflecting on the experience, Bensley highlighted the opportunity to engage with researchers from different backgrounds.
“I met some interesting people from Kenya to local Czechs all researching different fields. One thing that really stood out to me was the amount of respect awarded to every participant,” he shared.
Bensley also expressed his appreciation for the guidance he received throughout the process.
“I am grateful to Doctor Yarimoglu for helping guide me through the whole process and introducing me to MCYR. I highly recommend other students to participate and hope other AAU students involve themselves in similar opportunities!”
According to Dr. Yarimoglu, the experience helped students gain confidence in their academic abilities and encouraged them to consider participating in next year’s conference.
