Mind Matters: Managing Stress, Building Clarity & Resilience
University life can bring academic pressure, uncertainty about the future, competing priorities and constant demands on your attention. “Mind Matters” is an interactive wellbeing workshop exploring how understanding your own thinking can help you manage stress, strengthen focus and respond to pressure with greater clarity and resilience.
During this interactive 90-minute session, you will explore practical approaches to understanding the mind, developing clearer judgment and maintaining greater balance when life becomes demanding.
The session will explore:
- How patterns of thinking can contribute to stress
- How to develop greater clarity when facing pressure or uncertainty
- The connection between thoughts, emotions and decision-making
- Ways to strengthen focus, judgments and self-awareness
- Practical approaches to maintaining greater balance during demanding periods
The workshop will also include time for questions and discussion.
About the Speaker
Sudhakar Dass has spent more than two decades studying and sharing practical approaches to developing the human intellect, self-awareness and clarity of thought.
A senior alumnus of the Vedanta Academy in India, he holds degrees in English Literature and Vedanta Philosophy and regularly speaks at leading universities, businesses and international organizations around the world. His audiences have included the United Nations, Aspen Institute, IMD, Deloitte, EY, White & Case, Bank of Singapore, University of Cape Town, YPO and EO.
Drawing on both philosophical study and practical experience, Sudhakar makes complex ideas about the mind, decision-making and inner balance accessible and relevant to contemporary academic, professional and personal life.
