Strategeo Institute and Anglo-American University invite you to attend a public debate after the 2026 US midterm elections.

What will be their impact on American politics and the Trump presidency? What will the results mean for the balance of power in Washington, and how much could they change the president’s room to manoeuvre at home and abroad?

The discussion will look beyond the election night headlines to consider what a changed Congress could mean for foreign policy, diplomacy and security; trade and defense; and the United States’ relations with Europe, its allies, NATO and Ukraine.

Panelists:

  • Kateřina Weissová – Director, Center for Transatlantic Relations, CEVRO University
  • Gabriel Eichler – Banker and Investor, Founder of Benson Oak Capital
  • George Hays II – Dean of the School of International Relations and Diplomacy and AAU Lecturer
  • Ondřej Hejma – Musician and Commentator
  • Roman Joch – Chairman of the Civic Institute and AAU Lecturer

The debate will be moderated by the president of the Strategeo Institute, Jan Macháček.
