Alice Němcová

Němcová completed her PhD studies at the Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University, where, between 2017 and 2020, she lectured on modern and contemporary art in the context of Prague. Prior to this, from 2014⁠ to ⁠2015, she worked in the Bibliography Department of the Institute of Art History of the Czech Academy of Sciences, subsequently serving as expert lecturer at the National Gallery Prague until 2020. Němcová is currently curator of the National Gallery’s Collection of 19th Century Art and Classical Modernism. In her ongoing research and publishing activities, her main focus lies in the area of Czech public art from the first half of the 20th century.
