Public Debate: “Latin America in a Changing World Order”

The Liberal Institute and the Strategeo Institute, in cooperation with Anglo-American University (AAU), cordially invite you to a discussion seeking answers to the following questions:
- Is Latin America an active player or merely an object of shifting power dynamics?
- Does Donald Trump’s approach to Latin American countries and Greenland represent a revival of the Monroe Doctrine?
- Which mineral resources, in addition to Venezuelan oil and Chilean copper, are of global importance?
- Is the Western Hemisphere experiencing political stabilization or destabilization?
- How significant does the role of the military and the Roman Catholic Church remain?
- How should Argentina’s economic reforms be assessed after two years of President Milei’s government?
- What opportunities does current development in Latin America offer to the Czech Republic and Europe?
At the opening of the event, the Ambassador of Argentina to the Czech Republic, Claudio Rozencwaig, will read and present a personal message and expression of thanks from President Javier Milei for the awarding of the Liberal Institute’s Annual Prize for 2024.

The presentations and subsequent discussion will be conducted in Czech. Guests are kindly requested to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start. The discussion will be audiovisually recorded and shared afterward. By attending, you consent to the recording.
