| Learning Outcomes | Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: – Comprehend and have a clear understanding of important movements, periods and authors across the range of European literature from 1200-1800; – Understand and analyze literature via close reading of texts, attuning themselves to nuances of meaning; – Place in context the great works of literature from cultures other than their own, enriching their own perspectives. |
