AAU Announces Winter Holiday Schedule

As the year comes to a close, AAU extends warm wishes to the AAU community for a merry Christmas and joyful holiday season. We wish you prosperity, peace, and happiness. May all your aspirations be fulfilled, and may our collective pursuit of knowledge continue in the new year 2026!

The university has announced its winter break schedule. The campus will be closed from December 20 through January 6, and all academic and administrative offices will be unavailable during this time.

Applications for the Spring and Fall 2026 semesters continue to be accepted, and the admissions team will follow up with applicants after the university reopens. Applicants are welcome to submit their documents during the closure.

The AAU Library will also be closed until the academic year starts on January 7th. In addition, Café des Taxis will be closed from December 20 to January 11, reopening shortly after the start of the new semester.

A Message from the President

As the semester comes to a close, let me extend my warmest wishes to the AAU community for a merry Christmas and joyful holiday season. May the coming weeks bring you peace, happiness, and renewed energy as we look ahead to the New Year.

This year has been marked by meaningful progress and shared achievements. We launched three new academic programs, improved our research, increased the quality of our educational processes, welcomed a wide range of distinguished guest speakers – from diplomats and politicians to successful entrepreneurs, and celebrated our 35th anniversary, which culminated at our great Gala Evening. Our community collaborated with external partners on public events and revived the Career Expo, strengthening opportunities for our students. This year, we welcomed approximately 220 new students and bid farewell to our graduating class. AAU became the first and only university in the Czech Republic to receive the AI Innovators Award at JA Europe. We have also set the direction for our strategic plan for the years 2026–2031, which we are looking forward to launching next year.  Alongside these milestones, we celebrated many personal moments across our community, including new additions to families and professional advancements.

AAU continues to grow both internationally and within the Czech Republic. With your ongoing support and engagement, we will continue this trajectory in the future. Thank you for your continued commitment to our shared mission. We remain dedicated to fostering a strong, open, and thriving academic community.
