Sexual Consent and Bystander Intervention Workshop

ONLINE

This workshop is part of a new series on sexual health and education organized and led by Student Council Event Coordinator, Mathilde Sandahl, and AAU’s Psychological Counselor, Desiree Gonzalo. This workshop focuses on questions surrounding consent- Did you ever say yes when you meant no or were not fully convinced? Is it difficult sometimes to be assertive with your boundaries and then end up feeling bad about yourself? Did you ever fail to help someone in crisis because you thought someone else would take care of it? Would you know what resources are available to victims of sexual misconduct, both within and outside of AAU?

We will be answering these questions and more, exploring what constitutes sexual consent and non-consensual sex, what the Bystander effect is, how we can all promote a safer environment for ourselves and others around us and where we can turn to if we want to report any sexual misconduct either within or outside of AAU.

We need to promote safety and respect in our community to make sure everyone feels comfortable, confident, and empowered

Please email desiree.gonzalo@aauni.edu if you have any questions about this workshop. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 23rd November from 9:30-12:00 ONLINE.
