Anglo-American University in Prague College Wrestling Festival
Get ready for the AAU International Wrestling Open 2026, bringing together university students and wrestlers from across Prague and beyond for a full day of freestyle wrestling, competition, and community.
Organized by the AAU Wrestling Club, the tournament will welcome competitors from Czech and international universities alongside selected wrestling clubs. Athletes will compete in individual weight categories under official wrestling rules, with licensed referees overseeing the competition.
Whether you’re competing or coming to support the athletes, the event is an opportunity to experience university sport, meet students from other institutions, and cheer on the AAU community.
Schedule
8–9 AM – Registration and weigh-in
9–9:30 AM – Opening ceremony
9:30 AM–4:30 PM – Competition
4:30–5 PM – Medal ceremony
5–6 PM – Networking and closing
An evening student afterparty will follow the tournament.
About the Tournament
The AAU International Wrestling Open aims to build connections between universities, student athletes, and wrestling communities while establishing a new inter-university sporting tradition. Approximately 40–70 competitors from 8–12 universities, as well as selected Prague wrestling clubs, are expected to participate.
