Mgr. Karolina Dolanská, Ph.D.

Karolina Dolanská is an art historian and curator. She received her PhD in Art History from Charles University in Prague (2013), under the mentorship of Prof. PhDr. Petr Wittlich, CSc., and holds an M.A. in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University (NYU), as well as an M.A. in Sociology and an M.A. in Liberal Studies from The New School, New York City, United States. She earned her B.A. in Art History at Charles University in Prague.
From 2005 to 2012, Karolina Dolanská held the position of Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the National Gallery Prague. She has taught at the Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City, and currently teaches art history at the Anglo-American University in Prague. Her publications include the book Beauty Again and articles such as The Original in the Digital Age and From Tomas Kulka on Kitsch and Art to Art as a Singular Rule.
