Dr. Lenka Martinec Novakova

Lenka Martinec Nováková (*1984) is an assistant professor at the Department of Psychology and Life Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Charles University (since 2013), the Institute of Chemistry and Humanities Teaching, University of Chemical Technology, (since 2024) and a researcher at the National Institute of Mental Health (since 2015).

She is mainly engaged in research on the chemical senses (smell, taste and trigeminal stimulation), specifically in studies of the ontogenesis of sensory perception, perceptual learning, sensory integration, and factors contributing to inter- and intra-individual variability in chemoreception—both in health and disease. She uses psychophysical measurements and psychophysiological methods. At the FHS, she is a member of the Research Ethics Committee and the Editorial Committee.
