AAU Angling Association es la organización de pesca número uno con sede en esta universidad. ¡Nos encantaría tenerte en nuestro club! A veces todo lo que pescas es un poco de sol, pero incluso el peor día de pesca supera al mejor día de trabajo. El club te enseñará cómo conseguir una licencia, cualquier equipo o información, pero no necesitas nada de eso. Todo lo que hace falta es buen rollo y una actitud positiva y serás perfecto para la AAU Angling Association.

The purpose of this club is for everyone, artist or not, to come and create something meaningful to them, to give each other ideas, and inspiration in our creative pursuits. The club is ran by everyone in it, we all collectively decide all the activities, and anyone no matter their skillset is welcome.

Tired of all your hairpin net shots and wish you could just sash that birdie straight over the net? Don’t know what this means? Both queries can be answered by joining the AAU badminton club. The Badminton band of brothers promotes only positivity and friendship in a state of privation. While it is the main motif of the club that we all practice Badminton and parlay to improve our wielding of the racket, Badminton is simply just the medium for a channel of good faith and connectivity back into the human condition to flow.

El propósito del Basketball Club es proporcionar a los estudiantes la oportunidad de jugar al baloncesto en un ambiente competitivo e inclusivo, al mismo tiempo que abogamos por el trabajo en equipo y la forma física. Queremos crear una comunidad en la que jugadores de todos los niveles puedan mejorar sus habilidades, entablar amistades y representar a AAU a través del deporte. El club funciona mediante entrenamientos regulares, partidos amistosos y posibles competiciones con otros equipos universitarios. Las funciones de liderazgo, como las de presidente, vicepresidente y capitán del equipo, ayudan a gestionar la programación, la comunicación y la coordinación con la universidad. Las decisiones se toman de forma colectiva con las aportaciones de los miembros para garantizar que el club siga estando centrado en los estudiantes y sea accesible y acogedor para todos los que estén interesados en unirse.

The AAU chess club is a space where chess players of all levels can come together to play others and discuss chess. We host friendly tournaments in the cafe where anyone can participate, and even play chess variants such as “Hands and Brain” or “Bughouse”. We meet once a week and the purpose of this club is to not only play with others but also teach and learn chess from others in a relaxed environment. All ratings are welcome and beginners are encouraged!

Somos un equipo de estudiantes de AAU que se prepara para la Liga Universitaria Checa de Fútbol y la Liga de Fútbol de Praga. Nuestro objetivo es mejorar nuestras habilidades, nuestra química y construir una plantilla capaz de convertirse en el mejor equipo de ambas ligas. Nuestro equipo se reunirá para entrenar al menos una vez a la semana durante la temporada regular y tendrá 1-2 partidos a lo largo de la semana. Siempre estamos buscando ampliar nuestro equipo con nuevos talentos, ¡así que no dudes en ponerte en contacto con nosotros independientemente de tu nivel de fútbol!

The purpose of the AAU Golf Club is to bring together students who are interested in golf, whether they are beginners or more experienced players. The club aims to create a friendly and social environment where students can learn, practice, improve their golf skills, and meet other students with a shared interest in the sport.
The club will meet regularly, with a main group training session once a week at the golf facilities in Karlín. Members will have the opportunity to practice together, support each other, and organize additional activities or golf outings when possible. The club will be open to all AAU students regardless of their previous golf experience.

The Lennon Wall is the official student newspaper of Anglo-American University. The Lennon Wall is a 100% independent student led media outlet and the voice of the student body. Margins Magazine is a Literary and Art magazine at Anglo-American University dedicated to celebrating and showcasing human-made creative work from across the AAU community. Each semester, club members will collaborate to curate, edit, design and publish a magazine issue featuring a wide range of artistic mediums, including any kind of writing, visual art, photography, ceramics, illustration, and mixed-media. In addition to producing the magazine, the club hosts relaxed weekly meetings where members can experiment with creative processes. 
Margins Magazine is a welcoming space for creatives of all experience levels who are interested in sharing their work and being part of an independent student publication.

El propósito del club Performing Arts and Film Production es fomentar un ambiente para que los estudiantes se den el gusto de crear sus propias actuaciones originales en vivo y producciones filmadas en un entorno de grupo creativo próspero. Nos reuniremos una vez a la semana: para las primeras reuniones nos reuniremos en el patio, durante el tiempo de comunidad de los miércoles. Los estudiantes se presentarán con el deseo de comprometerse a desarrollar un proyecto de principio a fin en colaboración con sus compañeros, y tal vez un cuaderno o un ordenador portátil. ¡Animamos a los estudiantes interesados en la actuación, la cámara, la escritura de guiones, el diseño de vestuario, escenografía, y otros medios relacionados a unirse a nosotros!

Think poker is about luck? It isn’t. It’s about making good decisions with incomplete information, and that’s a skill you can learn here. The Poker & Game Theory Club meets weekly to break down the advanced maths and psychology behind the game: pot odds, reading opponents, when to bluff, and when to fold. Then we put it into practice in friendly tournaments. Absolutely no money is involved ;). We play with chips, and the only thing on the line is the leaderboard. All skill levels are excepted. We’ll teach you everything from which hand beats which to how to buff an all-in on the river. Bring your poker face.

The club will be a non-partisan political. Our goal is bridge the gap between differing political opinions. We plan to do this through academic oxford union style debate, with an emphasis on academic free speech (within common sense).
 
Each session, we will discuss a topic chosen by the members. The debates will overseen by a faculty moderator (Professor William Eddelston) to ensure the discussions are fair, and that students behave.

El Run Club es una forma de que los estudiantes se reúnan, se mantengan activos y disfruten de la belleza de Praga. No se trata tanto de velocidad como de conexión: conocer gente nueva, compartir la experiencia de correr por la ciudad y crear recuerdos por el camino. El propósito del club Students Against Violence es perseguir el cambio social y político mediante la recaudación de fondos, el voluntariado y la organización estudiantil. El activismo persistente y la comunicación de nuestro mensaje para ayudar y empoderar a diferentes grupos sociales es la vanguardia de nuestra misión. Estamos comprometidos con la creación de una comunidad diversa de individuos que expresen sus opiniones sobre asuntos debatibles, a la vez que les damos una plataforma para ayudar a recaudar fondos para esos asuntos. Los temas y las acciones emprendidas por nuestro club varían en función de los intereses de sus miembros en cada momento, pero el mensaje de no violencia es siempre el mismo.
