Rybářská asociace AAU je rybářskou organizací číslo jedna se sídlem na této vysoké škole a chceme vás! Někdy stačí chytit jen trochu sluníčka, ale i ten nejhorší den na rybách vždy předčí ten nejlepší den v práci. Klub vás provede tím, jak získat licenci, jakékoliv vybavení nebo informace, ale nic z toho nepotřebujete. Stačí mít dobrou náladu a přístup "can do" a jsem si jistý, že v rybářské asociaci AAU budete perfektní.

The purpose of this club is for everyone, artist or not, to come and create something meaningful to them, to give each other ideas, and inspiration in our creative pursuits. Tired of all your hairpin net shots and wish you could just sash that birdie straight over the net? Don’t know what this means? Both queries can be answered by joining the AAU badminton club. The Badminton band of brothers promotes only positivity and friendship in a state of privation. While it is the main motif of the club that we all practice Badminton and parlay to improve our wielding of the racket, Badminton is simply just the medium for a channel of good faith and connectivity back into the human condition to flow.

Účelem Anglo-amerického univerzitního basketbalového klubu je poskytnout studentům příležitost hrát basketbal v soutěžním a inkluzivním prostředí a zároveň podporovat týmovou spolupráci a fyzickou zdatnost. Cílem je vytvořit komunitu, v níž mohou hráči všech úrovní dovedností zlepšovat své schopnosti, budovat přátelství a reprezentovat AAVŠ prostřednictvím sportu. Klub funguje prostřednictvím pořádání pravidelných tréninků, přátelských zápasů a případných soutěží s jinými univerzitními týmy. Vedoucí funkce, jako je prezident klubu, viceprezident a kapitán týmu, pomáhají řídit plánování, komunikaci a koordinaci s univerzitou. Rozhodnutí jsou přijímána kolektivně s přispěním členů, aby bylo zajištěno, že klub zůstane zaměřen na studenty, přístupný a vstřícný všem, kteří mají zájem se k němu připojit.

The AAU chess club is a space where chess players of all levels can come together to play others and discuss chess. We host friendly tournaments in the cafe where anyone can participate, and even play chess variants such as “Hands and Brain” or “Bughouse”. We meet once a week and the purpose of this club is to not only play with others but also teach and learn chess from others in a relaxed environment. All ratings are welcome and beginners are encouraged!

Jsme tým studentů AAVŠ, který se připravuje na Českou univerzitní fotbalovou ligu a Pražskou fotbalovou ligu. Naším cílem je zlepšit naše dovednosti, sehranost a vybudovat tým schopný stát se špičkovým týmem v obou ligách. Náš tým se bude v průběhu základní části scházet na tréninku minimálně jednou týdně a během týdne odehraje 1-2 zápasy. Stále se snažíme rozšířit náš tým o nové talenty, takže se neváhejte ozvat bez ohledu na vaši fotbalovou úroveň!

The purpose of the AAU Golf Club is to bring together students who are interested in golf, whether they are beginners or more experienced players. The club aims to create a friendly and social environment where students can learn, practice, improve their golf skills, and meet other students with a shared interest in the sport.
The club will meet regularly, with a main group training session once a week at the golf facilities in Karlín. Members will have the opportunity to practice together, support each other, and organize additional activities or golf outings when possible. The club will be open to all AAU students regardless of their previous golf experience.

Margins Magazine is a Literary and Art magazine at Anglo-American University dedicated to celebrating and showcasing human-made creative work from across the AAU community. Each semester, club members will collaborate to curate, edit, design and publish a magazine issue featuring a wide range of artistic mediums, including any kind of writing, visual art, photography, ceramics, illustration, and mixed-media. In addition to producing the magazine, the club hosts relaxed weekly meetings where members can experiment with creative processes. 
Margins Magazine is a welcoming space for creatives of all experience levels who are interested in sharing their work and being part of an independent student publication.

Účelem klubu Performing Arts and Film Production je vytvořit prostředí, ve kterém se studenti mohou věnovat tvorbě vlastních originálních živých vystoupení a filmových produkcí v prostředí prosperující tvůrčí skupiny. Budeme se scházet jednou týdně, několik prvních schůzek se budeme scházet na nádvoří, ve středu během komunitního času. Studenti přijdou s chutí věnovat se vývoji projektu od začátku do konce ve spolupráci se svými vrstevníky a možná i s notebookem nebo laptopem. Studenti, kteří se zajímají o herectví, kameru, psaní scénářů, kostýmy, scénografii a další příbuzná média, se k nám mohou přidat!

Think poker is about luck? It isn’t. It’s about making good decisions with incomplete information, and that’s a skill you can learn here. The Poker & Game Theory Club meets weekly to break down the advanced maths and psychology behind the game: pot odds, reading opponents, when to bluff, and when to fold. Then we put it into practice in friendly tournaments. Absolutely no money is involved ;). We play with chips, and the only thing on the line is the leaderboard. All skill levels are excepted. We’ll teach you everything from which hand beats which to how to buff an all-in on the river. Bring your poker face.

The club will be a non-partisan political. Our goal is bridge the gap between differing political opinions. We plan to do this through academic oxford union style debate, with an emphasis on academic free speech (within common sense).
 
Each session, we will discuss a topic chosen by the members. The debates will overseen by a faculty moderator (Professor William Eddelston) to ensure the discussions are fair, and that students behave.

Run Club je způsob, jak se studenti mohou setkávat, být aktivní a užívat si krásy Prahy. Nejde ani tak o rychlost, jako spíše o spojení - o setkávání s novými lidmi, sdílení zážitků z běhu městem a vytváření vzpomínek po cestě. Scházíme se každý týden na skupinových bězích otevřených pro všechny úrovně a často po nich zajdeme na kávu, abychom pokračovali v konverzaci. Je to snadný a nenáročný způsob, jak rozhýbat své tělo, budovat komunitu a trávit čas s přáteli i mimo hodiny.

Cílem klubu Anglo-americké vysoké školy Studenti proti násilí je usilovat o sociální a politické změny prostřednictvím fundraisingu, dobrovolnictví a studentské organizace. V popředí našeho poslání stojí vytrvalý aktivismus a předávání našeho poselství s cílem pomáhat a posilovat různé sociální skupiny. Snažíme se vytvořit různorodou komunitu jednotlivců, kteří budou moci vyjadřovat své názory na sporné otázky a zároveň jim poskytneme platformu pro pomoc při získávání finančních prostředků na tyto otázky. Problémy a akce, jimiž se Studenti proti násilí zabývají, se liší v závislosti na zájmech jejich členů v daném okamžiku, avšak poselství nenásilí je vždy konzistentní.

Cílem tohoto klubu je vytvářet kamarádství mezi členy, bezpečné místo pro diskusi a růst a sloužit pražské komunitě.
