| Descripción | This core course of the humanities will introduce students to key theoretical paradigms used in the study of the humanities, with emphasis on contemporary approaches. The aim of the course is to provide students with the ability to critically examine cultural norms and personal pre-conceptions that affect interpretation practices, as well as enable them to formulate a reasoned theoretical approach in their own work. |
| Resultados del aprendizaje | Al finalizar este curso, los estudiantes deben ser capaces de: – Comprehend a variety of theoretical paradigms in the humanities; – Comprehend the stakes involved in approaching a cultural text through different paradigms; – Gain a deeper understanding of the social, cultural, and environmental issues at the centre of current theoretical discourses; – Discuss and justify the theoretical assumptions that underly their own work in the humanities. |
