U.S. Institutional Accreditation – WSCUC
Anglo-American University is the only higher education institution in the Czech Republic to hold U.S. institutional accreditation. AAU is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), one of the six regional accrediting bodies in the United States and an agency officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Institutional accreditation means that the university as a whole, not only individual programs, meets rigorous U.S. standards for academic quality, governance, student learning outcomes, and institutional effectiveness. This places AAU within the same quality assurance framework as world-renowned universities since WSCUC is also the accrediting body for institutions such as Stanford University and University of California Berkeley.

National Accreditation & European Recognition
Anglo-American University is officially authorized by the Czech state to operate as a private higher education institution. The university operates under approval from the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and its accrediting authority, the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education (NAB).
This authorization confirms that AAU complies fully with Czech higher education legislation and quality standards and that its degrees are accredited in the Czech Republic.
As the Czech Republic is a member of the European Union, AAU degrees also benefit from European recognition frameworks that support academic progression and professional mobility across EU member states.
