| Descripción | This course introduces students to the scientific study of human behavior in work and organizational settings. Students will examine key concepts, theories, and research findings related to personnel selection, training, leadership, motivation, job attitudes, group dynamics, organizational structure, and culture. Emphasis will be placed on applying theoretical perspectives to real-world organizational challenges and developing critical thinking about workplace issues. Students will engage in diverse experiential activities, including discussions, simulations, and a group project that encourages practical application. |
| Resultados del aprendizaje | Al finalizar este curso, los estudiantes serán capaces de: – Identify and explain major concepts, theories, and research methods in industrial and organizational (I/O) psychology. – Understand how individual, group, and organizational factors influence behavior, performance, and well-being in the workplace. – Apply I/O psychology principles to personnel decisions, employee training, motivation, leadership, and organizational change. – Critically evaluate research findings, ethical considerations, and cultural influences in I/O psychology practice. – Reflect on how knowledge of I/O psychology can inform career development, management strategies, and organizational policies. |
