DescripciónThis course introduces students to the key concepts of educational psychology with an emphasis on the social, emotional, and cognitive processes that shape learning and teaching in schools. It explores the school as an environment, the classroom as a social group, the teacher as an educational actor, and the child as a developing learner. Special attention is paid to the relationship between school and family, teacher well-being and career challenges, and the impact of digital tools and gamification in education. The course lays the foundation for future studies in school and counselling psychology.
Resultados del aprendizajeAl final de este curso, los estudiantes serán capaces de:
– Describe and explain key psychological principles relevant to educational processes, including motivation, socialization, classroom climate, and the role of the teacher.
– Analyse the classroom as a social group and apply sociometric and observational methods to assess peer relationships and dynamics in school settings.
– Evaluate the role of school, family, and teacher in pupils’ development and learning, including the impact of teacher expectations, communication, and educational styles.
– Reflect on contemporary challenges in education, including digitalisation, gamification, assessment methods, and the well-being and professional development of teachers.
