Thanks to AACE Institute (Institute for Anglo American-Central European Business Law), students will be able to leverage their common law legal education to gain experience in their field under the supervision of established lawyers, while start-ups may use the brilliant young minds, their knowledge and applied research in business development across markets.
„We want our students to make practical use of their knowledge of Common Law across law systems. To be able to do this, we offer them expert support and the opportunity to work with a number of partners, including law firms, businesses, and non-profit organizations,“ Carollann Braum, Associate Dean of John H. Carey II Law Faculty (JCSL) under the AAU and who led the Institute until today.
„The AACE Institute will form bridges between Anglo-American and Central European countries. We need a new generation of lawyers who will be ready and well equipped to help develop business across jurisdictions, traversing disparate systems of jurisprudence“ adds Scott Prange.
One of the main pillars of the Institute is the start-up clinic (Launchpad) for Czech entrepreneurs headed by newly-appointed Clinical Director, James Heller. The Launchpad will also sponsor the Fashion Hub to support business in the fashion industry in the Czech Republic.
Other projects including a prestigious legal journal, will be launched in the next few months.
The AACE Legal Institute is the next step in consolidating the AAU's position in the field of economic cooperation and business development between Central European countries and countries with the Anglo-Saxon legal system.…
