This month topic: The US Midterm Elections

With America divided into political tribes to an extent not seen since the Vietnam War Era, the 2018 Midterm Elections are of particular interest and importance. What will this “referendum” on President Trump and his policies reveal? Will the House and/or the Senate swing to the Democrats? What does the new composition of Congress imply for the next two years of US politics? What were the key drivers and what are the key takeaways in the first few dozen hours since the election? Come discuss these questions, and ask your own.

The lead professor will be George Hays II, Chair of International Relations at AAU.
