On November 20 – 21, 2015, Anglo-American University hosted international multi-disciplinary conference Cultural Diversity and Value Pluralism in European and Global Politics. The event was organized in cooperation with the Institute of Political Studies and the Institute of International Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague.

This pooling of institutional resources made it possible to invite as many as four distinguished keynote speakers: Professor Graham Parkes (University College Cork, Ireland) – a leading British specialist on East-Asian studies, Professor John Maria Skorupski (University of St. Andrews, UK) – one of foremost British philosophers and a former President of Aristotelian Society, Professor Göran Collste (Linköping University, Sweeden) – professor of applied ethics and President of European Society for Research in Ethics, and Professor Peter Jonkers (Tilburg University, The Netherelands) – professor of philosophy and Vice-President of European Society for Philosophy of Religion.

The conference was attended by forty panelists from fifteen different countries, who included political scientists, philosophers, ethicists, as well as sociologists. The selection of best conference papers will be published in the Spring 2016 issue of Acta Polititologica – a peer reviewed journal published by the Institute of Political Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague.
