Prohlášení rektora Jiřího Schwarze k tragédii na Univerzitě Karlově

Dear AAU Community,

S hlubokým zármutkem se na vás obracím v souvislosti s tragickými událostmi, k nimž nedávno došlo na Karlově univerzitě. Dne 21. prosince 2023 došlo k ničivému násilnému činu, který si vyžádal několik obětí na životech a mnoho zraněných. Tato tragédie se hluboce dotýká nás všech, zejména akademické obce. 

During this time of mourning, we stand in solidarity with our colleagues, students, and friends, at Charles University. Our hearts go out to the victims, their families, and all those affected by this horrific act.

Tragedies such as this remind us of the critical importance of community, compassion, friendship, and mutual support. We are more than just a university and in times like this, we must lean on each other for strength and comfort.
