PhDr. Jaroslav Anděl, conceptual artist, photographer, art historian, curator, pedagogue and lecturer at the Anglo-American University School of Journalism, Media and Visual Arts has recently curated an exhibition titled: Hugo Táborský: Serial Abstractions.

On display at Brno Dům Umění or the Brno House of Arts, Anděl’s exhibition opened on December 11th, 2018 together with a traveling exhibition on feminist avant-garde art accompanied by a performance from Lenka Klodová.

The exhibition centers on Brno artist Hugo Táborský (1911–1991) who was known to culture enthusiasts for his avant-garde photographic work from the 1930s as well as his contribution to the genre of serial abstraction. Hugo Táborský: Serial Abstractions, will be on display until January 24th, 2019.
