Anglo-American University, founded in 1990, is the oldest private institution of higher education in the Czech Republic. It prides itself on providing a personalized, distinctive university education in English, stemming from best American and British academic traditions that form future leaders, citizens of the world and high profile individuals ready to get globally engaged in world matters.
Anglo-American University is divided into four schools: School of Business Administration, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of International Relations and Diplomacy, and John H. Carey II. School of Law. They offer a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. Located in beautiful baroque palaces in Prague's historic Malá Strana, Anglo-American University has become a center of academic excellence where students from all over the world come to pursue academic study in an environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, leadership, cooperation and respect for cultural and national diversity.
AAU prides itself on having a core international faculty trained at fine universities worldwide, including the Ivy League.

It is my true pleasure to welcome you to Anglo-American University, the oldest private university in the Czech Republic. Our school is distinguished by providing exceptional accredited English bachelors’ and masters’ education in the areas of business, humanities, social sciences, law and international relations and diplomacy. Students have been coming to our school from all over the world and we pride ourselves in 
succeeding to attract highly qualified, internationally renowned faculty often trained at the best universities in the world. Our academic community enjoys a unique learning environment underlined by unparalleled genius loci of perhaps the most beautiful university campus in Central Europe.
We strive to create an educational environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, leadership, cooperation and respect for cultural and national diversity. We encourage our students to take active part not only in designing their own curriculum but also in the university life in general, we support the scholarly work of our faculty and we are grateful to our alumni for their continued friendship and support.
