B.A. in Business Administration
Accredited for the third time, through 2015, by the Czech Ministry of Education.
A major in Business is designed to give you the advantages needed to secure exciting jobs in multinational companies. The program focuses on the four key business disciplines: management, marketing, finance, and strategy. It is taught by a highly qualified faculty with professional business experience. Developing internationally respected business skills in an English language environment will ideally prepare you for a career in the global market.
We also offer the program in a part-time (combined) study form suitable for students working full-time. More details about the structure of the program will follow.
3-year degree option
The Business Administration B.A. degree requires 90 credits and may be completed by full-time students in three years. Graduates will receive the official Czech title of ‘Bakalář’ (Bc.).
4-year degree option
Students who desire a four-year (120 credit) B.A. degree may choose to complete a minor program (30 credits) in addition to their major program (90 credits). Business Administration students are able to add a minor in one of the areas available outside the School of Business Administration, i.e., International Business Law, European Studies, Journalism and Communications, Legal Studies, Politics or Social Studies. During the fourth year of study, business majors can also prepare themselves for admission into those American MBA programs that may require four years of undergraduate courses. Graduates also receive the official Czech title of ‘Bakalář’ (Bc.) but have completed enough credits to be admitted to graduate schools which require four years of undergraduate courses.
3+1 Transfer Program with Central Michigan University
Following three years of study in AAU’s School of Business Administration, students have the option of transferring to Central Michigan University (CMU) for a fourth year to receive an American Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree. This 3+1 program consists of specific courses, beginning with AAU’s General College Courses and continuing throughout the student’s three years of study at Anglo-American. Please note that these courses differ from the regular 3 year Business program. Please consult the School of Business Administration for specific advising. After three years, the AAU graduate will be accepted into the College of Business Administration at Central Michigan University to complete a major in one of the business disciplines at CMU, e.g., Marketing, Management or Finance. Details are available from the AAU Office of the School of Business Administration.
