Required and Elective Courses

Any degree undertaken at AAU has to meet the following requirements: first, the core curriculum common amongst liberal arts universities, second the departmental requirements, and finally the necessary number of electives required for the degree.  Students may choose between the full-time program (6 courses per semester), which will allow them to complete the degree in 3 years, or the part-time program (3 courses per semester), which allows 6 years to complete the  degree. The following is a sample structure of our full time program:
