The Master of Arts in International Relations program trains students to critically assess, evaluate and compare issues and processes in international relations, law and negotiation. Students acquire skills in quantitative as well qualitative analysis of greater geopolitical economic, historical, social and cultural trends and potential conflicts. Training in intercultural communication and diplomatic protocol is also emphasized.
Studies culminate with the presentation and defense of a master’s thesis, and an oral examination. At this stage in the program, would-be graduates answer to a state examination panel on the learned topics of international politics, relations, economy, law, contemporary history, and diplomatic theory and practice.
M.A. in International Relations and Diplomacy is offered in two forms of study: present study form and combined form. The academic requirements for both forms are the same and the difference is solely in the form of study.
Graduates conferred the title of Master of Arts in International Relations are qualified for highly professional positions in government and non-government organizations, diplomacy, think tanks and academic institutions, and international and supranational business organizations, where their knowledge and skill is required to make conclusions and recommendations.
