Students are active participants in contemporary methods and knowledge of political science, international relations and economy in the greater context of European and world history. This bachelor of arts program is designed to enable students to apply classroom theory to current real-world issues, including conflict resolution, security, diplomacy, law and intercultural communication in the European Union and abroad.
Students can expect to gain a working knowledge of social science research methods, political philosophy, Cold War history, nationalism and one foreign language (to an intermediate level or higher).
Studies culminate with the presentation and defense of an original bachelor’s thesis, and an oral exam conducted by a state examination panel.
Graduates holding the program title are prepared for employment by government and non-government organizations, particularly those with strong practices in media, documentaries, the press, and research assistance and internships.
Graduates are also encouraged to use their title to apply to masters’ programs at Anglo-American University, or anywhere in the European Union, United States, Canada and other countries to seek further diplomatic training, or apply their skill sets to other advanced disciplines.
