The library houses 19.000 books and also subscribes to a variety of periodicals and newspapers. The library specializes predominantly on areas studied at AAU: Business Administration, Humanities and Social Sciences, International Relations and Diplomacy, and Law. The circulating and reference collections offer a well rounded selection of fiction and non-fiction books.
The AAU library is open to all members of the AAU community free of charge.
Students may find AAU Library on Google Apps for Education for semester and online research information.
Circulation RulesCirculating books are allowed a loan period of 1 month. Course materials are loaned for 1 complete semester. Theses, projects, periodicals, newspapers and reference books are for in-library use only. General RulesA student can have a maximum of 8 books checked out at one time. There is a 3 CZK overdue charge per book per day. No one with either overdue books or unpaid overdue charges will be able to borrow any library material. All library materials (all books and readers) must be returned at the end of the semester to the library. End of semester date is indicated in the current Academic Calendar posted in the Students section of this website under Academic Timetables. If you need to keep your textbooks or other materials later than this date, please inform the library prior to the end of semester date. Students may use the library copy machine by obtaining a special card for printing and copying at the Student Services Center. Our current partnerships include: The Institute of International Relations The Institute for Contemporary History, Academy of Sciences (CR) Upon presentation of an AAU student ID card and one photograph, an identification card will be issued free of charge by the associate institution. |
