External Relations Strategy 2011/2012


Mission Statement


It is the mission of the External Relations team to support Anglo-American University’s overall vision by:

Continuously endeavoring to promote the University’s degree and non-degree programs, services, faculty, staff and students;

Positioning Anglo-American University as amongst the best of its kind, offering English language education in the Central European region;

Fostering strong ties and relations with agents and representatives of AAU across the world and to ensure a constant standard with which AAU is represented;

Identifying, establishing and maintaining ideal partnerships that enhance AAU’s academic cooperation with Institutions worldwide;

Establishing a comprehensive outreach agenda to build and sustain alumni support, and to foster a sense of alumni community and commitment to the University;

Building a stronger relationship with the greater local community in Prague and the Czech Republic and seek enhanced relations with the various stakeholders of the University.




Vision Statement


To evolve into a comprehensive, fully integrated external representative of AAU’s external communications;

To efficiently and resourcefully raise the university’s brand, position AAU as the best amongst its competitors, promote the University’s mission, its high quality education, its graduates, excellent faculty and administration.




Specific Aims


To establish an International Office to oversee and foster strategic Institutional partnerships with Universities and Academic institutions worldwide;

To build and cultivate relations with Agents and Representatives in specific target countries and ensure that AAU is represented in an adequate and fitting manner amongst potential students;

To promote AAU’s professional education & training and the MBA program within business and corporate sectors in the Central European Region;

To establish a fully functioning Alumni Office and to establish a Career Centre to serve as a bridge and support AAU’s graduates with internships and employment opportunities;

To deploy an Online Initiatives strategy, that makes efficient use of AAU’s online persona, within the traditional and non-traditional marketing spheres;

To support AAU’s extensive student scholarship initiatives with the use of a holistic marketing strategy, that encourages more extensive scholarship support as promotional tool.
