Where to Live and How Much to Pay

Although AAU doesn’t directly provide housing, students can select from a variety of housing options including dormitories and apartments. AAU can recommend a wide variety of local rental agencies, private dormitories, flat sharing housing forums, and other options to help you find the right housing. Many of these also provide the housing documents you may need for your visa application. You can check out the full range or recommended options HERE

What our students typically do is find accommodation with a recommended dormitory or rental agency for their first semester and then rent an apartment with their schoolmates for the remaining time of their studies. The cost of rent varies throughout the city and also depends on how many flatmates you have and your preferred living standards. If you’re not sure which option is the best for you, the staff in our Student Services Center will be happy to help you out and perhaps connect you with fellow students in search of housing.

In addition, students are eligible for housing support from the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in order to cover part of their housing expenses.

Please note that AAU bears no responsibility for the final choice of its students' housing.
