Israeli Ambassador visits AAU

Continuing the AAU Ambassadorial series, H.E. Yaakov Levy, the Ambassador of Israel to the Czech Republic paid AAU a visit on Thursday, September the 24th, where he addressed students of our Cultural Diplomacy class. Security restrictions ensured that only AAU students were allowed to attend the event, yet the guest lecture drew a record turnout with over 50 students present to hear to Mr Levy speak.

The Ambassador, who in the past has served as an Advisor to the Speaker of the Israeli Parliament and as Permanent Representative of Israel to the UN in New York, enthralled students with his quick wit, humour and relaxed style as he explained the practicalities of cultural diplomacy to many students of the IRD program. The Ambassador further brushed upon the current situation in the Middle-East and the Israeli perspectives on the issue.

It was an outstanding session that the students got a lot out of, and we hope to have Mr Levy will grace the halls of AAU again in the future.
