Signing Ceremony & Garden Reception
A fruitful partnership
The beginning of June witnessed a very important day in the history of the Anglo-American University. Its representatives met the representatives of the prestigious Chapman University at the Residence of the US Ambassador in Prague for what was called a signing ceremony on June 5. Some noted guests were present at the ceremony, too – the US Ambassador to the Czech Republic - H.E. Richard W. Graber, the ambassador of Canada - H.E. Michael A. Callcott, the ambassador of the Swiss confederation - H.E. Jean-Francois Kammer, the ambassador of Sweden - H.E. Catherine Von Heidenstam and the ambassador of Bulgaria - H.E. Zdravko POPOV.
During the signing ceremony, the President of the Anglo-American University, Assoc. Prof. Alan Krautstengl, Ph.D., and the Chairman of its Board of Trustees, Jiří Lobkowicz, Lic. oec. Hsg, together with the President of Chapman University, Dr. James L. Doti, signed two crucial documents – the Agreement to offer the Chapman University MBA Program at the Anglo-americká vysoká škola, o.p.s. in Prague and the Memorandum about the exchange of students.

The signing ceremony wrapped up the official part of the Chapman University representatives’ visit to Prague. The following day they set off beyond the borders of the Czech capital to see the beautiful chateau at Mělník as well as the legendary Říp Hill on the way. Their visit was concluded by an informal reception that was held in the magnificent garden on the premises of the Anglo-American University, at which Dr. James L. Doti with his wife, and Alan Krautstengl with his wife, were present, together with other important representatives from both schools, like Dr. Jim Coyle, Director of Chapman’s Center for Global Education, graduates and undergraduates of the AAU, and others. Both presidents gave opening speeches that concerned the future of the cooperation with the emphasis on the new offer of the top-level MBA Program. The typically hot June evening in the nice surroundings of Prague’s Lesser Town passed in a friendly atmosphere, and left behind a feeling that new firm ties have been established and that there is much more to come – both at the Anglo-American University and in the cooperation with one of the most prestigious American universities.
